Hero Motocorp again registers over five lakh units sales

Hero MotoCorp Ltd (HMCL sold 5,41,615 units of two-wheelers in the month of December. The company had sold 540,276 units in the corresponding month last year. The over five lakh despatch in this December comes close on the heels of a record 1.1 million retail sales in the festive months of October and November. Anil Dua, Senior Vice-President (Marketing & Sales), Hero MotoCorp Ltd said, “December - being the last month of the calendar year – usually witnesses sluggish retails as customers tend to postpone their purchases to the new year. Despite that, we have been able to despatch over five lakh two-wheelers during the month. We also have comprehensive marketing and customer engagement plans lined up for the remaining months of the fiscal to maintain this trajectory.” The company had retailed over 1.1 million (11 lakh) two-wheelers in the festive months of October and November, which was a growth of seven percent over the corresponding period last year. This retail sales came about riding on robust demand for strong brands such as Splendor and Passion as well as new models like Maestro and Ignitor.
